About Us

The Rotary Club of Lincoln (www.lincolnrotary.ca), Note for Note Productions and Town of Lincoln (www.lincoln.ca) are pleased and proud to take the lead in organizing the Sunset Music Series at The Rotary Shell located in picturesque, lakeside Charles Daley Park, 1969 North Service Road, Jordan, Ontario. Each summer, weekly concerts are held every Tuesday evening, 7:00pm – 8:30pm, from the beginning of July to the end of August.

The Sunset Music Series relies on the support of its audience through freewill donations at the concerts and financial sponsorships by local businesses.  The Series is organized and supported by a host of Town of Lincoln organizations, businesses, and volunteers, including Note for Note Professional Music Productions; DC Grafix; Action Print, A Division of Commercial Digital Print Inc; Butterballs Express; and the Royal Canadian Air Cadets 62 Phantom Squadron.

The Sunset Music Series is geared to the musical tastes of people of all ages. From jazz to rock and pop, to country and more, each concert features a unique theme. For audience members who are more comfortable listening to our concerts in their vehicles, car radios in the Charles Daley parking lot receive the evening’s program broadcast live through an in-park FM radio transmitter. Food vendors are at the park beginning at 5:30pm and throughout each concert.

Charles Daley Park (http://www.lincoln.ca/content/parks-trails) is owned and operated by the Town of Lincoln. It is open to the public throughout the year with many amenities including an extensive trail system, beaches, picnic areas, and children’s playground.  The park is located at 1969 North Service Road, Jordan, ON between the QEW exits at Jordan Road (Exit #55) from the east, and Seventh Street (Exit #51) from the west.

The Rotary Shell, a permanent outdoor performance centre at Charles Daley Park, was dedicated on July 1, 2009 during the Town of Lincoln’s Canada Day celebrations. Initiated as a result of the resounding success of the Rotary Club of Lincoln’s annual Lamplighter Tour (www.lamplightertour.com) production, The Rotary Shell is a joint project of the Rotary Club of Lincoln and the Town of Lincoln. The Rotary Club of Lincoln’s contribution of $165,000 prompted this capital project to build on the initiative of the Friends of Charles Daley Park to revitalize and promote Charles Daley Park.
